Nothing

Nothing

This is an example of taking a boring, slightly out of focus color image, and making it seem dramatic, brooding, and interesting by distilling it into a dark b&w image.  I don’t take b&w monochromes. My eyes naturally (still) see color as my world. But when I see a b&w image, I wonder why it wasn’t in color. The only answer I can find is that by draining the world of natural color does seem to make it (melo-)dramatic, much like a migrane headache. Why, I’m still not sure. What draws us to black & white, when it is so fake?
