Now it seems like another lifetime, but when the Electric Circus opened in the spring of 1967, and all thru that strange and mysterious summer, I was the guy in the sound booth, spinning the records most nights between band sets. And each night we ended with A Day In The Life, blasted at full volume out of six theater-sized speaker systems, rotating the sounds around the room as strobe lights flashed and people passed out. An interesting way to spend the summer, for sure.
